How can you stay near the shore and not visit the beach? Tybee Island is about 15 miles east of the city of Savannah and seems to be the place for Georgians to escape the heat of summer. But December finds the beach almost deserted.
But, despite temperatures in the high 50s, there was one example of a bathing beauty who is willing to brave the elements.
They do decorate Tybee for the holidays:
This pier is probably very crowded on a summer afternoon, but in December you can have it all to yourself (almost).
