Sioux Falls, SD
As we continued our trek east on I-90, we stopped for a few days in Sioux Falls. One of our activities there was to ride a great bike path from a spot near the airport down to Falls Park, a nice area on the Big Sioux River with the falls that gives the city its name.

Arriving at Falls Park we stopped at the information center, which has a four story observation tower with a great view of the falls.

After seeing the falls from the top of the tower we walked through the park to get some different views of the river.
As we toured the park we came upon a photo session with a group of muscle guys posing along the river. John quickly took off his shirt and joined the group. Unfortunately, he is blocked out by the photographer in the only photo Pam was able to take.
The falls are lit up at night so we stopped by one evening to take a photo.
Next up for us are a couple of stops in Iowa. More on that later . . .
The guy in the bikini looks like he’s in pain! Too bad you didn’t get John in the shot Pam, but I know you want to keep him all to yourself.
Ha ha Steve says he want to punch the photographer that blocked Pam. He wants to see John with the group!
Sioux Falls is beautiful and still very natural compared to Great Falls. Steve took me there in 2005 to introduce me to his grandma.
Those falls are so beautiful! That’s some serious muscle flexing going on there—you should take them out on a hike and see if they can keep up with you. :-))
How wonderful to bike to beautiful falls with lots of water. Doesn’t look like any drought there. Tell Pam she must always take 2 or 3 shots if a picture as important as muscle John. Bummer to miss seeing that.
Wow, I’ve never seen these falls!!! Beautiful!
Maybe get have John pose by himself next time! Lol
The falls are impressive, as are the muscle men! We’ll all be waiting for John’s bikini shot 😉
If ever again in Sioux Falls we will make sure to spend an extra day and visit the area – especially the falls
Oh man, I did not see you guys there! I flew down from Anchorage for that photoshoot. I am surprised you did not see me. I must have stepped away for some more oil when you took that picture!
We did see a guy over to the side oiling up, Jim, but didn’t realize it was you. We thought you were in Alaska. We should have guessed they’d want you:)
What a photo shoot! John, I’m sure you fit right in with that bunch!
where did you stay while in Sioux Falls and would you recommend it?
Our old home state! Actually our only time in Sioux Falls was to get our drivers’ license and voter registration. We love those falls and were there for a light show one night. Nice city.
I thought for sure we visited Sioux Falls, but we didn’t. I love the photos from the observation tower. What a beautiful park.
I turned that photo sideways and upside down thinking I would get a glimpse of John. No luck. Darn! hehe
Night lights are gorgeous.
Nice to see preservation of some of the old buildings along the river route. You need to take more pics when there’s such marvelous scenery around Pam. Especially that muscley type. 😉
Beautiful park…awesome photo shoot!
