On the Road in Wickenburg

Wickenburg, AZ

After a nice month in Tucson, we pulled out of Lazydays this morning and headed north.  Our next destination is Las Vegas, where we will spend a week or two before heading east into Utah.  Our Vegas stay will be highlighted by a visit from our daughter, Jessica, who will arrive on Saturday for a four day visit.

It’s about 400 miles from Tucson to Las Vegas, much too long a drive for us to do in one day.  When you’re retired and live in your vehicle why push yourself?  So we drove half that distance today and stopped at a little camping area next to the rodeo grounds outside of Wickenburg, where we are dry camping (no hook-ups) for two nights.

There are a couple of things we want to see in the Wickenburg area, hence the two night stay.  Then, Friday morning we will continue our journey to Las Vegas, now only 200 miles away.

More on that later . . .
