We left Bradenton Beach (Cortez) Friday afternoon and drove to Gainesville, where we spent the night enjoying the hospitality of a Wal-Mart. The next day we drove the rest of the way to Miramar Beach, which is on the panhandle of Florida between Pensacola and Panama City just a few miles east of Destin. We quickly settled into our new home at Geronimo RV Park. It’s a small park (29 sites) that is very well-maintained by the owner, Tom, who built the park with his uncle and lives on site.
As you can see from the picture, we are very close to the beach again. The beaches here are very clean, as is the water of the Gulf of Mexico. The sand is cool and very white.
We will be staying here for the month of April so there is plenty of time for exploration. And don’t worry, Starbucks is only a mile away ! ! !
